If you're an incoming graduate student employee for academic year 2023-24, and did not earn wages in a GEO-eligible position during 2022-23, your earliest start date for dental and vision coverage is September 1, 2023.
You'll receive an enrollment email for plan year 2023-24 at your UMass email address by August 15, 2023, the date that online enrollment begins. The deadline for September 1 coverage is 9/15/23 (coverage will be retroactive as long as you apply by 9/15). View the eligibility guidelines to ensure you will be eligible.
RETURNING Grad Employees
Welcome back! Remember, grad employees need to re-enroll for benefits each year.
The deadline for September 1 coverage is September 15, 2023. We've made the application even more streamlined this year for returning employees: if nothing has changed for you, you can skip to the signature step in approx. 30 seconds!
