This is a gentle two-hour paddle on Lake Warner from the boat launch towards the Mill River inlet at the far
southeast corner. The natural beauty surrounding the lake and the winding water trail through the lily-pads and
other vegetation on the water's edge make for a meditative experience. Hopefully, we see the great blue heron wading in the grass.
What’s included:
- Canoeing guide
- Canoe, paddle, PFD
- Dry bags
What to bring:
• Sunscreen and/or hat
• Glasses and sunglasses – with floating neck strap if possible
• The weather here can vary by 20-30 degrees within a few hours: layers and a windbreaker
• Camera, journal, life-list, your favorite field guides
• Footwear – Plan to get wet from the knees down. Water shoes, rafting shoes, strap-on sandals, are all good. Flip-flops are not. Crocs are okay.
• If you have a favorite drybag, lifejacket (PFD), paddle or other equipment, by all means bring it. Otherwise we’ve got you covered.
