Join us with Adventure East for this snowshoeing event! Free to eligible grad student employees, postdocs, and their families. For all levels and abilities. Warm drinks will be provided. Transportation from UMass will also be provided for those who need it.

Join us for a winter adventure! Come explore the local forests with a knowledgeable guide. Time spent in nature has been proven to improve cognitive and mental health benefits, as well as improvements in mood and emotional well-being. Equipped with the proper gear, winter can be a beautiful time to be outdoors and learn how to safely navigate in the natural world. Adventure East will provide snowshoes or micro spikes to help you get traction on the trail. Let's go on an adventure and reconnect with nature!

What’s Included:
- 2-hour guided experience
- All gear as needed (snowshoes, spikes, trekking poles)
- Warm beverages to warm the spirit!
What to Bring:
- Layers appropriate to the temperatures (hat, gloves, waterproof clothing, insulating layers)
- Warm boots and thick socks (extra pair)
- Plenty of drinking water
Transportation from UMass is provided!
Pickup @ 9:30am, Haigis Mall
